Preach the Gospel to Every Creature

My apologies for my slowness in writing. Today I would like to talk and consider the topic of Evanglism. As I mentioned in one of my past blogs that I would love to go to Haiti next summer. Christ has given me the heart to go on a mission trip, Lord willing. I want to go over there and help and share the gospel, to show those needy people, there can be joy and comfort though suffering, though Christ Jesus our Lord.
     I then relized that I just don't need to wait for a mission trip or any other organiziation to start Evanglising. I can share the gospel in my everyday contacts. How improtant it is to reach those we are in contact with everyday as well as those off in other countries.
    I feel that mission trips are becoming things to " do", like the motiviation behind it is part selfish. We should be careful not to fall into a place where we see how many mission trips we can go on or let our pride get in the way of God using it to glorify Him fully. I know many people have had life changing experinece and it so encouraging to hear that and see people wanting to do missions. We should want to do it because of Christ and because it is something we prayed about and feel He is calling us to do.
  I heard of a story of a girl who signed up for a missions trip and when she was about to leave to go to the country ,she didnt want to go. I mean it is diffrent going into another country but let us look deep and our hearts and make sure we have a heart for missions because of Christ. To make sure we don't do it because everyone else is doing it. How can you minsiter to others fully when you moitives are of  yourself? How can you show the love of other like we are commanded when you do it for selfgain and not fully to their benefit?.
I say this not to point fingers or anything, I want to remind you to make sure God uses you FULLY.  To make sure your not just going through the motions, to let youself  be used fully by God for HIS glory!
